I always try to incorporate little activities into Everson’s day that reflect his current interests. I believe that independent play and child-led activities are the best way to encourage their mind. So whenever I find a teachable moment in his current interest and I can match it to a fun activity I try to do that!
This activity was super fun! We first read all of the words and focused on looking at the picture together and identifying what we just read. Then I let them use crayons and markers to color it. The best part was that we took it outside with some tape and went on a scavenger hunt for each part to make our own. We used the tape to attach each piece of a flower over the print out so it became real and basically a 3-D version of what they had just learned! I added a picture of ours below one shows just the before of the worksheet and then the ones that the kids did when they did their part scavenger hunt and taped it where it was supposed to go on their own.

Print it out and enjoy a nice educational activity with your little one! If you do it, we would love to see how you add your own little twist to this activity! Share your photos down below in the comment sections or tag us on instagram (#brookeandbabiesblog)!
