Hi! I am Brooke. I have three sisters & am super close to my family! They are all my whole life and best friends. I graduated from Georgia Southern University 4 years ago with a degree in Child and Family Development. Shortly after graduation & internship I started my dream job, as a house parent to 6 children in foster care. My passion has always been working with children in foster care. My internship was a research project on the implications of sensory integration & trauma-informed care on dysregulated behavior in children who have experienced trauma. During my internship, I met the love of my life, Brice. Fast forward four years and now I am a stay-at-home mom to our two-year-old son, Everson and 6-month-old daughter, Kaiverly. I was in the process of getting my masters in Clinical Social Work, but put that on hold to focus on being a stay at home mom. Being a mom is my whole life and it has been everything I have always dreamed about . My background in child development & family services perfectly coincides with my passion for being a mom. So it is fun for me to implement everything I have learned into my own parenting and share that encouragement with others. It is always a process so it is something that you definitely have to consistently work on. It is still such an adjustment at times to find a balance of time for myself in motherhood. Creating this space has been such a cool way to give me a little something of my own. I have been able to connect with people, explore and share my passions and have a little creative freedom from home! Along the way of trying to balance mom-life with time for myself I have found a passion in DIY! I am growing my tool collection and learning so much along the way! I am so excited to share my experiences through pregnancy, being a mama, DIYer and just life in general! Thanks for being here!
